Hi everyone!
Though I try to keep the newsletter’s diet varied, it’s hard not to crave a good burger every now and then. The most recent burger I covered was at Old Irving Brewing, where the kitchen serves a juicy wood-grilled pub burger that I highly recommend you try sometime.
But today, we’re going smashed, and Chicago’s got an unsurprisingly abundant amount of good options for a well-crusted patty. Davida and I have already hit up The Region and South Loop Market, and there’s other restaurants that I hear put out an incredible smashburger like Leavitt Street Inn (which I haven’t been to yet).
This burger slinger technically isn’t in a permanent home, since it’s in residency at a bar. But the operation is so smooth that it feels like it’s naturally a part of its surroundings, and damn, if it doesn’t put out a fine specimen of a smashburger. And at a really reasonable price, too.
