Wow, I've never been inside Talard Thai, although I've passed it probably a hundred times. I'm definitely compelled to check it out now! Another taco-stand-inside-a-market I'd add to this list is Carniceria Maribel on Cermak & Wood in Pilsen. Also, the only al pastor on a trompo I've seen in Chicago is at Atotonilco (I'm sure there are others, just have never noticed). I believe they have multiple locations across the city, but the one I frequent is off Blue Island & 16th. Had it last night, actually.... bomb as always.
