Hello, everyone!
If you didn’t get a chance to catch it, I was featured on local news outlet Axios Chicago last Friday. Reporter Monica Eng asked me about what my “best day ever in Chicago would be,” and as you can imagine, it was all about food.
Most of the places I mentioned in the interview are ones I’ve previously featured on the newsletter, like Ragadan, JT’s Genuine, Honey 1 BBQ, and Mr. D’s Shish Kabobs, so you regular readers already know what’s up. As a bonus, I rattled off a bunch of my favorite pizza places by style, so make sure you check it out—and sign up for Axios Chicago, which is free, and covers news around Chicago in short, concise points that keep you up to speed in mere moments.
That reminds me: Monica Eng and my friend David Hammond wrote a book called Made in Chicago: Stories Behind 30 Great Hometown Bites, which was published earlier this year. Holiday gift idea, perhaps?
For those of you new readers, welcome aboard—I hope you’ll find something useful on The Party Cut, or at the very least, be inspired to go out and explore the city.
