Hello, everyone!
Hope you’re all well. Today’s piece is for paid subscribers, and it’s a culinary recap of our trip to Portland, Oregon. I know travelogues aren’t for everyone, especially to readers of a Chicago food newsletter, so I’ll keep it (mostly) about the food and what we enjoyed in our few days over there.
Keep this edition of The Party Cut in your back pocket if you ever find yourself traveling to the Pacific Northwest, which I can now say is easily one of the prettiest parts of the country we’ve ever been to. After our first visit ever, Davida and I can say it’s as gorgeous as everyone promised it would be. Plus the food was magnificent.
Before I forget, one last big reminder: I’ll be cooking at a charity pop-up on May 22nd, exactly one week from now, at Ludlow Liquors. John Carruthers of Crust Fund Pizza and I will be slinging school cafeteria-style pizza slices, and I have a feeling we are going to get crushed. Unlike our last event, this one’s not ticketed, so first-come, first-serve, and if you come visit, be sure to say hi.
