If you live in the city of Chicago, chances are, you’ve stumbled across film crews working on various projects like movies and TV shows.
It’s actually pretty remarkable how much stuff is filmed in Chicago; it’s to the point where when I see a crew shutting down a whole street, it’s more an inconvenience than it is awe for me now.
But deep down, I still think seeing a film set is cool as shit.
Don’t worry, my sense of wonder is still intact. In fact, I was even an extra on a Transformers movie once, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I can say firsthand that director Michael Bay really is a dick (he yelled at so many people that I lost count, including me), I saw million dollar plus cars in action, I ran from actual explosions, and none of this paragraph has anything to do with food.
Back on track: In 2022, a remarkable TV show was released, and one of its main stars was not only the entire city of Chicago, but also one particular restaurant serving up one of Chicago’s most iconic foods.
Unless you were living under a rock, I think most of you know which show I’m talking about.
