Hi, everyone!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. After a few days of marathon eating, I’m about to be thankful for more fresh produce in my diet. How we do this every year, I don’t know.

Today’s edition of the newsletter involves a Chicago Japanese food fixture that I don’t think gets mentioned much anymore, and I thought it was worth a shoutout this week. It’s one of the places I used to go back in the day for a nice night out, and I’m happy to say, after 55 years in business, it’s still going strong.

This week’s drop is on the paid schedule (every other week is for paid subscribers), so don’t forget to upgrade if you want access to the previous content—along with new stuff like this.

Double the newsletter sounds like a good deal to me, how about you?

Now onto agedashi, tonkatsu, sushi, and a surprisingly good dessert.
