I’m super excited about today’s edition of the newsletter because it features a type of vendor I haven’t covered yet: a food truck.
There’s something really special about food trucks in Chicago, because for reasons I still don’t understand, the city continues to be a hostile environment for them. It seems like every other city in the U.S. has some kind of food truck scene, but nope, not us. Boo!!!
So whenever I spot one roving around, I always wonder where it’ll eventually post up. But today’s truck, which currently operates on weekends, has a regular anchor spot that’s worth the trek, with a few interesting things attached, aside from the stellar street food. And one of them involves Chicago’s version of the fountain of youth.
Yes, you read that correctly.
