Hello, friends!
Hope you’ve been having a lovely few mild winter weeks. Any day over freezing is a good one, if you ask me.
Last week’s post was meant to be for paid subscribers. Turns out it’s really easy to press the wrong button in Substack when you’re very tired, so I hope you all enjoyed the freebie. In retrospect, I’m glad it was the one featuring The Original Hoagie Hut, because that place means a lot to me, as I’m sure some of you could tell.
I really do think you all should visit it at least once, even though it’s a haul. It’s little places like The Hoag that give our surroundings some personality. The gloriously greasy sandwich is just an added bonus.
This week’s piece is for paid subscribers, so we’re back on track. If you haven’t upgraded your subscription yet, it’s never too late:
Doing so unlocks the entire newsletter, even the archives, at thepartycut.substack.com, so you can catch up on where we’ve been. Next week's back to free. Now that the plug’s out of the way, let’s move on.
So, everyone, who’s up for some classic German food?
