To me, barbecue doesn’t quite feel the same in the dead of winter, so that’s why this week’s paid edition of the newsletter combines a patio, the final bits of summer, and barbecue, all in one fell swoop.

As you can see by the photo above, this isn’t just any ordinary barbecue, too. It’s from an unconventional place that’s wholly different than any other barbecue spot in Chicago. No rib tips here. In fact, you won’t find any ribs at all.
